FlyLine RC Complete Flight System Blog Giveaway #FlyLine & Review

I was excited to head to NYC last week to attend  a pre-holiday season event called The Big Toy Book Biggest Day of Play.  They featured a ton of hot toys for Christmas 2012 including the FlyLine Flight System RC Racing and Combat Systems. What a fun toy!  If you are looking for a great RC flying system to keep your boy or girl active, The FlyLine System is for you.  I was impressed to see that in addition to being included in TheBigToyBook this year, FlyLine is also listed as part of the ToysRUs Hot Holiday Toy List for 2012.
It was fantastic to see the FlyLine RC planes in action.  Children of all ages were working the controls (the little ones with some help from mom or dad) and loving it.  The big smiles were everywhere as the kids saw the planes glide through the air and go around and around.  The FlyLine Flight Systems are recommended for ages 8-108 so don't discount Gramma or Grampa either.  This is definitely a fun gift for anyone.  I saw the Blazing Babe Air Racer in action and it was something else!

Some of the key features of the FlyLine Complete Flight Systems are:

  • 2 channel digital proportional control
  • interface-free 2.4 GHz frequency transmitter
  • 2 rechargeable LiPo batteries
  • tangle free technology
  • tether filaments in 4, 6 and 9 foot lengths
  • complete patented anchoring base system with decal stickers
FlyLine planes look really easy because the planes are tethered to an anchoring base system but it really does take practice to get good at flying the plane accurately. The great part is that it is easy to learn the basics right away so you can have fun from the get-go.  You can learn to really learn to master take-offs, landings, climbs, loops, dives, double-loops and knife-edge flight with time.  You can practice more and even learn how to do some crazy stunts, battling maneuvers and cool tricks. Flyline RC planes are fun to operate on your own or you can gather a friend or two and challenge each other to flight competitions! They have Expansion Packs as well.

One of the things I really personally love about FlyLine is that it is a great opportunity to get your kids up and out of the house and away from the computer and tv and spending some quality time outside in the fresh air.  What could be more fun?  You can find FlyLine Complete Flight Systems at Walmart, ToysRUs, Target and tons of other great retailers. You can follow FlyLine on Facebook and Twitter as well. Let me know what you think!

My wife got this for me as she knew I wanted an RC Airplane. Put it together and took it outside where I had to take it off in the street. The few pieces of dead winter grass we had in our yard were too big for it. When taking off it it a twig (tiny twig) and tipped over. Propeller went flying and back of place cracked in half. I am glad my wife got this for me and not my son, he would have been really upset. I couldn't believe it when she told me what she paid for this, I thought it was worth about $15. I had no steering capabilities other than to change it's elevator. You can't make it go left or right. And you pretty much need to fly it on the stick and string that is included if you don't want it only going in a straight line. The packaging is probably worth more than the plane is.
