Love Green Tea? Certified Organic MatchaDNA™ Green Tea Gives You An Anti-Oxidant Boost!

Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary sample of MatchaDNA Green Tea in order to evaluate it for myself.  As always, my opinion is my own.

Do you enjoy green tea?  I have loved green tea from the first time I tried it years ago but I do notice that the taste varies from brand to brand. Lately I have really tried to buy more organic foods and beverages. I really worry about all the chemicals out there in many commercial foods and beverages. I bet you do too.  I was interested when I heard about an organic green tea with significant nutritional benefits.

MatchaDNA™ green tea tastes delicious first of all. It has no bitter taste like some of the green teas I have tried over the years. I just love that it is certified organic too. One glass of MatchaDNAmay be the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content.  You can drink it hot or cold or even mix it into your smoothie like I do. Sometimes I even enjoy a hot green tea latte with my MatchaDNA™ green tea.  So yummy in the fall and winter. When I get in a baking mood I get creative and make something from their recipes or from my head like these adorable cupcakes below.

                                     Delicious Green Tea Cupcakes

  • 2 cups white flour (I replace up to 1/2 cup with whole wheat flour)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp MatchaDNA™ green tea
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup fat-free egg substitute
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and MatchaDNA™ green tea powder. In a separate bowl, beat egg substitute with vegetable oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake papers. Divide batter evenly, and bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick or skewer inserted into the middle of a cupcake comes out clean.
