I received two miniature samples of the eye shadow and lipstick to try out and while it was a challenge to get a complete layered type of look, the makeup performed well and the colors were truly exquisite. I received Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster and Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy. They both had lovely textures and applied smoothly on my skin and lips.

I received a mini sample of the Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy. This is a truly moisturizing lipstick that provides bright color. It is super creamy but has good staying power which is an unusual combination in the makeup world. This creamy lipstick is filled with antioxidant vitamins including rosehip, soybean and safflower oils. It even contains Aloe and chamomile extracts to offer additional conditioning effects for dry lips. It was surprisingly feather-resistant and stayed on for hours. I looked at some of the other colors online and was impressed with the highly pigmented colors like Heliotrope and Magnolia. There are 18 colors to choose from in this Silk Cream Lipstick line. MAKE Beauty suggests that you apply this lipstick over primer and liner for the best and most long-lasting results.

I also received a mini sample of the Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster. I love a fresh neutral like Alabaster and find it adds a little pizzazz to a simple look. You will totally make them look again when you apply this stunning, intensely pigmented shadow. Alabaster is a soft eggshell shade that has peach undertones. It is matte so it is perfect for day or night. It comes in an array of 34 blendable shades. The velvety matte powder goes on smoothly too. I found it to be quite crease-resistant and it stayed fresh for most of the day without touch ups. It is comprised of an oil-free formula that has Vitamins C and E help to provide antioxidant protection for the delicate eye area. You can apply dry or wet for a more intense finish depending on the look you are trying to achieve.
