I received this product complimentary via Influenster for testing purposes in exchange for my honest opinion. This Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Mascara starts out unique right from the package. It has an unusual shape that is easier to grip and hold when you are applying it. It is easy to hold as well. It has a luxurious look and feel. I really like the brush and the way it deposits a healthy and even amount of mascara all over my lashes. 

My lashes are fairly sparse so I look for good volumizing and lengthening formulas like this one.  I noticed minimal to no clumping but it lengthened and added significant volume to my lashes quickly. It dried pretty fast as well which is key since I am always in a rush in the morning. My previous mascara took forever to set. My lashes look thick and lush after I apply it and it doesn't smudge or smear during the day. I work long days too. I don't have time for reapplications so this is a big plus for me.  This is a good find from Marc Jacobs beauty and I will continue to use it since it works well for me.
