Winter can be really rough on the skin. I have learned a few skincare tricks over the years that really make a difference for me. Winter skincare might look a little different from one person to another but there are skin care strategies that really make a difference. Skin hydration and proper moisturization is also very important.
On days that I don’t work out, I try to keep my shower brief. I don’t use very hot water. If you take long showers with hot water, that can really dry your skin. Who wants dry skin? Immediately after my shower, I make sure I moisturize, while my skin is still damp. This is a critical care tip, because it helps to lock in moisture. You have to choose a good moisturizer. There are a lot of good creams, lotions and oils out there. One of my favorite ways to hydrate is with great dry oil like Hanni Good Aura Shower Oil. This is my hands down favorite in-shower oil. Good Aura has a lovely dry texture that absorbs right into the skin and leaves my skin soft and comfortable all day long. I love the light and gentle fragrance as well.
