I have been using Secret anti-perspirants for years but I also switch around with some other brands. I usually use a soft solid type of anti-perspirants though and had not tried a gel version before. I received this deodorant for free as part of a BzzAgent product campaign, so I figured I would give it a try. I am particular about my clothing and only buy high quality brands that I hope to keep for many years. A good anti-perspirant is really important to prevent damage or stains any which way you cut it.

The gel actually dries very quickly and does not get onto my expensive clothes. No marks on my darker shirts, tops or sweaters and I have plenty of them. My little uniform you might say with navy and black tops....it has a fresh light scent that is not overpowering either.

It has been keeping me dry and fresh all day long even through a recent high pressure business session. That was a real challenge I was worried I would have a problem there but it worked very nicely. I didn't notice any irritation or discomfort either and when I showered my underarm area felt clean with no residue left over. Some of the heavy duty brands are hard to get off and you have to scrub--not this one. I didn't try going for the 48 hours but I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts. I must say I also worked out one morning and I stayed fresh through that as well....I sweated alot because it was a crazy workout but I didn't notice any unpleasant odor. It did the job.

I will continue to use it...and find it to be comfortable. The big test will be when summer rolls around!  I will update you soon since I will be taking a vacation soon and it will be hot. I think that is close enough to summer to get a good idea. I bet it will work.

Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies Review + Giveaway #nancydrew

 

Who doesn't love Nancy Drew? I grew up reading all the stories and so did my tween. I don't know which one of us was more excited to check out this great new adventure games with Nancy Drew.  It is very exciting to thread your way through a maze of deceit in this epic Greek drama. Nancy has gotten herself embroiled in another over the top mystery as she has been doing for 40+ years. It never loses the fun though just like the books.

Here is the scene: A museum curator hires you to assist with the most anticipated event of the year, but artifacts from the exhibit are mysteriously disappearing. Hmm, lets see...could these mishaps possibly be connected to the amphitheater’s upcoming performance? Perhaps it is an unseen villain pulling strings behind the scenes. Who knows but this time you get to work with Nancy on your laptop or desktop to uncover the truth and recover the missing artifacts from the Labyrinth of Lies!  It is so much fun and the graphics are colorful and exciting.

GAME FEATURES:
 
You get to organize Greek Displays and Exhibits. You get to gill in for the museum curator and assemble exhibits before the grand opening too. Figure out how to use Stagecraft Expertise to survive backstage! Don't forget to sneak behind the curtains to explore the treacherous underworld stage sets.

You even get to experience the World of Ancient Greece in this game. How amazing it is to be able to solve challenging puzzles based on actual Greek myths and artwork?  We have been having a great time with this game. It is kind of hard to pull yourself away.

Even better, the perennial favorite The Hardy Boys are on the line too. You can use your in-game mobile phone to hear potentially lifesaving tips from Frank and Joe.  I always loved those two guys. They sound just dreamy on the phone too.
 
You have the ability to select difficulty levels too so you can play at Amateur or Master Sleuth level and erase any mistakes without starting over.  You can improve your detective abilities as you play along and get better and better. It is good because the younger kids won't get discouraged either with the easier levels. It is nice to see Nancy Drew still here and moving into the digital age. Her books are still wonderful but this is a fun option that is super for any Nancy Drew fan.

Neil Diamond Melody Road #MelodyRoad #O2O

I participated in the Neil Diamond Melody Road album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own. 

Who hasn't heard of the legendary Neil Diamond?  He is truly one of the world’s premiere recording artists. It is amazing but Neil Diamond has charted 37 Top 40 singles and 16 Top 10 albums in the U.S. His most recent original studio release, 2008’s Home Before Dark, debuted at #1 in the U.S. and the UK on the Billboard Top Albums chart.  It has been six years since he last released an album.  Time for another amazing bunch of songs already!  Neil is an internationally renowned and record-breaking concert performer and revered songwriter.  I am excited to shared with you some information about his new studio album, Melody Road which is available on October 21st.  This is his first album since signing with Capitol Records over 6 years ago.  Acclaimed producers Don Was and Jacknife Lee co-produced the album. Fans are getting a special treat with this release too...Neil Diamond includes a 36-page lyric book with guitar chords included in the packaging of each album.

Think about how many years Neil Diamond has been in the business and bringing us hit after hit.  His Melody Road co-producer Don Was said, "It takes tremendous vision, focus and determination, combined with a mega-dose of God-given talent, charisma and soul to create music that becomes indelibly ingrained in the fabric of our culture.” I remember how popular he always was even when I was a little kid growing up. Amazon pre-orders give fans a code that will give them early access to purchase concert tickets for the 2015 tour.  Tour dates and information have not yet been announced but I sure hope they will be soon. I will be in line to go see him.

Melody Road is a great album. Don't you just love The Art of Love? This is a fantastic song and the lyrics are superb as always. He is such an unbelievable songwriter. He always was. It is just a gift that he has. I remember how much he used to tour in the 1970's and even in the 1980's. Neil Diamond has had such an illustrious and wide-ranging musical career and I am glad he is still contributing.

The man has won Grammy Awards and been nominated for Grammy's 13 times over the course of his career. He is is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award. The last award is one of the highest honors bestowed upon songwriters.  Diamond’s many other achievements include a Golden Globe Award and 2009’s NARAS’s MusiCares Person of the Year award.  In 2011, Diamond received the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime of contributions to American culture. Lord knows that the man deserves every honor he has been given.

I have found this Salon Edge Professional UV Lamp to to work effectively to cure several different UV and gel based products I have tried.  I like the reflective inside lining.  I find it helps ensure more uniform drying.  This cures one hand at a time quickly.  I love the built in timer with the two minute setting which helps me manage my time appropriately.  It came with 4 Bulbs which help to provide a uniform curing and drying process from all sides of the unit.When I need to change bulbs there is an access panel on bottom to make the process simple and fast.
