I love to cook so I was so excited to receive this lovely cookbook featuring Amish baking. This cookbook offers so many favorite Amish family recipes that have been handed down over the years. The recipes are blended in with sweet stories from Amish and Mennonite cooks.I kind of got lost in some of the stories as I was reading through the book, they were so captivating. The recipe for the Pecan Rolls shared how delicious they taste following a winter ice-skating party for example. One Amish community sold their special hoagies to help one of the families with hospital bills. Then there were the Cocoa Cupcakes that a budding cook got "stir by hand" confused with their hand...literally. Don't forget the Whoopie Pies that one Amish woman took to the local market in her horse and buggy.

My daughter and I enjoyed reading and earmarking these yummy recipes. You can feel their comforting traditions and faith as you read the recipes and the accompanying stories. Especially now, as the cooler weather starts to move in it makes you want to gather the whole family together to enjoy some of these delicious meals. The recipes aren't complicated or fancy but they are simple, fresh and tasty and that is what everyone loves. If you have ever tried Kerastase products you know they are luxury, salon quality hair care items. They recently launched a new line of products and I received two of them to try complimentary from Influenster. I was really excited about a few of the ingredients and surprised about only one. Overall, this is a great line of hair care products that you want to check out. 

It is different because you use the conditioner first. This protects your hair. The shampoo and conditioner feel and smell luxurious. I noticed a difference right after I finished washing and conditioning or in this case, conditioning and washing my hair! It is funny doing it backwards but it does work. My hair felt soft and conditioned when I stepped out of the shower. I styled my hair as usual and dried it and it came out gorgeous. My daughter used it too the night before picture day at school and she loved it. Her hair styled beautifully...I can't wait to see the photos. Totally frizz free which is a big change. 

One of the things that surprised me was the fact that Kerastase contains sulfates. This would not be a good product to use if you have had professional keratin treatments since they are incompatible. I would love to see the product teformulated in the future without sulfates. Otherwise it is a great option for soft, frizz free and smooth, healthy hair check out Kerastase and see what you think for yourself.

I recently received a variety of Folgers Coffee Enhancers to share with friends through Crowdtap.These are portable flavorings from an established coffee brand that are perfect in your fave cup of coffee.
