Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars

We had our Cadbury High Tea Party this past week featuring Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny.   It was so hot outside that I decided to make iced tea to have along with our Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars and bring the party outside so we could enjoy the cool water in the pool.  I made a beautiful caramel frosted vanilla cake from scratch and decorated it with M+M's and included a ton of sliced fruit to keep us cool as well.

Everyone enjoyed the Cadbury Ice Cream Bars but I have to say the the Chocolate Covered Vanilla Bars were the most popular of all!  There are a bunch of flavors to please any taste including the yummy Cadbury™ Double Chocolate Ice Cream Bars and  Cadbury™ Chocolate Almond Ice Cream Bars.  Each box has 8 bars so there is plenty for everyone.

It was something different and fun. I thought it was cute that several of the children that were at the party immediately recognized the Blue Bunny Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars from tv commercials that they had seen.  That got them even more excited because they were telling us all about the tv commercial!

All in all we had a fun day.  I can't wait to pick up more Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars to have on hand for the next hot weekend. There is nothing like a cold, creamy ice cream bar to cool you down on a warm summer day.

Verizon Insider “Feed Your App-etite” Party

I was really excited to be selected to be a part of the Verizon Insider program through CrowdTap recently.  I was chosen to receive  a great package of goodies to use at a Verizon “Feed Your App-etite” Party in my home.  It was so much fun!  We really had a great party with lots of moms and dads and kids in attendance! We checked out some apps and picked up some new ones that we had really been coveting thanks to Verizon too!  I loved being the tech queen--I demonstrated a lot of the apps that my family has been enjoying for the guests and showed them how they worked--then we downloaded them to their phones thanks for Verizon!  Believe it or not, I was able to help some friends download a bunch of game apps that they didn't have yet like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.  We also got some of the moms set up with a few great relaxation apps too--they needed that!  The dads all wanted crazy games so we had a bunch of fun downloading what we wanted thanks to Verizon.  I think several of the guests became a lot more comfortable with adding apps after my tutorials too--that was a great...now they can download all they want without a struggle.

We enjoyed some great snacks including a yummy cake that I baked, lots of fresh fruit and ice cream as well. It turned out to be a beautiful day perfect to be outside and in and out of the pool as well. We made sure all the phones stayed well AWAY from the pool area!

Influenster Summer Mom VoxBox

I was really excited to be chosen by Influenster to receive a new round of VoxBoxes...this time it was a terrific Mom VoxBox!  There was a bunch of great items for me and my family to try and have some fun with during these warm summer days of July.  Here is a little peek into my Mom VoxBox:

IVORY SOAP

I received a full sized bar of Ivory Soap.  Now this is something that everyone can use.  I love using Ivory in the shower to really get all that spray sunscreen cleaned off my skin after a day at the beach. Unlike so many other soap bars on the market that strip skin of its natural moisture, Ivory's pure formula cleanses the skin thoroughly without unnecessary perfumes and lotions.  I also like to keep a bar of Ivory in the laundry room for laundry stains. I rub it on all kinds of stains and let them soak away in a little Rubbermaid tub while I relax and read a book.  When it is wash time, I throw the stained item right in the wash with the Ivory on it and the stain comes right out!

This is the best invention ever for busy moms.  I don't have the time that I used to for my nails and those time-consuming manicures but I still like to look put together.  Here is a way to get your nails looking shiny and chip free in a few minutes. Here is my favorite start to the day and sometimes even my escape from the day's stress!  You always have a good variety of teas with Stash Superfruits Tea Sampler. Okay, you all know how much time I spend in the gym and how healthy I try to eat, right?  Well, we all have to allow ourselves a big little treat here and there to stay happy and I am no exception!  I love Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies. They are not too sweet or to big.  The portion size is perfect.  I love all the raisins in there too!  Each yummy little cookie is individually packaged and made with Whole Grain Quaker Oats so you can feel good about eating them or giving one to the kids!  Each serving has only 6g of total fat so go ahead you can enjoy without the guilt!
