Holiday parties and fun. Wine. It goes together like peanut butter and jelly, right? So funny because I recently heard from Ozeri that they had this amazing new electric wine opener. I had not seen them before but I had heard about them. I was excited to receive own Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener so I could check it out.
Meanwhile, I was at a Christmas eve party at a friends home the other day. I went to the bar area to get a glass of wine and what do I see right there. I was laughing to myself because it was an Ozeri Extravo. Can you believe it? I still had not received mine yet but my friend Ron showed me how to use it. So fast and easy to use. No struggling or yanking. The cork popped out so smoothly.
Fast forward a few days and my own Ozeri Extravo arrived. It even came with a compact foil cutter that doubles as a stand. Ozeri also includes a
wine pourer and stopper. You get the whole set. I love that the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener auto-activates with a just a little nudge down on
the cork. It is effective with natural and synthetic corks too. You also can choose to use the little button on top to activate it. Either way...no pushing, shoving yanking anymore! It is effortless and actually, kind of fun. Your guests might even be a little bit impressed too. After the Ozeri Extravo removes the cork all you have to do is lift up the device. That activates a speedy reverse spin and the
cork is automatically ejected in a flash. It is crafted from elegant stainless
steel and really looks very impressive for a reasonable price. If you are entertaining, your guests will think the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener is a much more expensive device than you really paid for it. It looks and feels substantial and a bit luxurious. In my mind that is great. Why pay more? You get a lot of style and perfect function with the Ozeri. The Extravo is a device that is durable enough to be used in a restaurant or in a home setting.
The Extravo is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery that opens up to 60 wine bottles before needed a recharge. I almost forgot to mention that the
Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener is totally cordless. This would be a wonderful Valentine's Day gift for someone in your life that is a wine lover too. Hop onto Amazon and check it out.

Friend Me a Novel of Suspense by John Faubion: Book Review and Kindle HDX Giveaway
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the
products or services mentioned above in the hope that I would mention it
on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use
personally and believe would be good for my readers. I am disclosing
this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part
255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in
Advertising."
This book had me at the start. I stayed up late several nights to finish it but it was worth it. I loved the idea of a freaky social networking site like in Friend Me. It has a basis of reality to it. I could totally picture scene after scene in my head and that is the kind of book I love. The author has to make me see it in my mind's eye. How eerie is the whole premise behind the book? Online dating has taken on a whole new dimension here. You can create exactly the person you need to interact with online. Scott, the central character does just that. There is a twist to the whole story though but I am not going to share that all with you here. Perhaps someone else is controlling the whole picture...someone who has some sociopathic tendencies perhaps. Think about it. Totally science fiction thriller in an amazing sort of way. There was definitely some elements of Christian faith sprinkled in to the book but included in a manner that is appealing to anyone.
Scott completely believes he is a virtuous Christian and a good husband. He spends all his free time online in this virtual world he has created but uses excuse after excuse to himself that this is acceptable since it is not reality.
You see him experience struggles in his career and marriage, which directs him more and more towards the creepy reality he has created in this virtual world. The secrets finally are exposed and you will be on the edge of your seat until the end.
This book is an exciting read no matter if you are a computer whiz or not. I am wondering if he is already working on a sequel...meanwhile, don't forget to enter the Kindle HDX Giveaway by clicking here!

Remember these? One of my childhood sore throat faves is back: Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops Review
Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. I received a sample complimentary to review.
Can you believe the history behind these classic throat drops? In 1870 J. Herman Pine and his brother hung out a confectionery shingle on 8th Street above Walnut in Philadelphia and sold their first batch of what they called 'Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.' In an attempt to relieve his own sore throat and those of his family members, Mr. Pine, a former German confectionery maker, determined that by combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing properties of gum acacia, he could soothe the irritation and discomfort of a sore throat. Of course he added some natural flavoring and a bit of sweetener.
The name was updated to Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops. Mr. Pine's discovery would become one of the most successful, most delicious and most unique throat lozenges in the world. The current recipe is almost identical to the original recipe created 140 years ago...thank goodness! In 1930 Pine Brothers was sold to the Life Savers Company and continued to be popular. Not surprisingly, Pine Brothers lozenges became a favorite of adults and children alike. I know I just loved these as a kid in the 1970's growing up in the northeast. All my friends did as well. The company was sold by Life Savers a while back and you just never could find them anymore.
Recently, Pine Brothers was acquired by 3 Sisters Home Products™. 3 Sisters tirelessly worked to find the source for the original Pine Brothers recipes. They redesigned and updated the packaging creating an exciting yet classic new look.

Two different options now...the puck and the bag. Alas, they did away with that old-timey box I remembered. It always got squished anyway. I am just happy that the natural product is once again being made in America, and is available nationally...yay!!! I am so happy to have an old favorite available again. They taste just as delicious as ever (I taste tested them!) and sure helped my sore throat this past week. Let me know if you remember this classic remedy and check them out for yourself!
