Zevia Zero Calorie Soda Review Moms Meet #momsmeet

I have been a blogger for Moms Meet for a number of years now.  I love working with them because they partner with some fantastic brands. I recently was chosen to review  Zevia Zero Calorie Soda. I had tried Zevia a while ago at my sister's house so I was excited to check out some of the cool flavors. I was sent a huge case of twenty four cans in a wide variety of yummy flavors including Grape, Strawberry and Cola. Zevia is actually available in 15 amazing and fun flavors. One of the things I really like about Zevia is that it is sweetened naturally with a unique blend of US grown Stevia and Monk Fruit.

I didn't realize that Zevia is the original naturally sweetened, zero calorie soda. It has no sugar and no artificial sweeteners. I had sworn off those big label soda brands for health reasons but this is something different. No weird chemical ingredients in Zevia and only natural sweeteners makes this a nice treat that I can allow myself on a regular basis.

We have tried most of the flavors at this point and there were several faves between family and friends. The kids loved the Strawberry and Grape Soda the best. One of my daughter's friends adored the traditional Cola too.  My daughter chose the grape one day because she had a matching shirt on.  It was a good choice because she loved it. My husband enjoyed the Zevia Black Cherry...he said it reminded him of when he was a kid. He actually made an Zevia ice cream soda with the Black Cherry and vanilla ice cream. I tried it and it was yummy!

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a Kingsford Tailgate Pre-Game Party through Crowdtap.  Kingsford Charcoal created a tailgating party event to benefit our troops.  With football season starting at the end of the month, it’s the perfect time for grilling everything from chicken to steak and even veggie kabobs. What could be a better way to get everyone together than to fire up the grill and cheer on the NY Giants or perhaps your favorite team, which of course is the Giants...just joking.

We ended up actually having two Tailgate Pre-Game Party events...more fun for everyone. We had one event at the beach house (hence the portable grill) and a second Kingsford event back home this past weekend. The weather cooperated thank goodness.  It was great to hang out, eat some fresh, hot grilled chicken and veggie kabobs and watch the game on the tv. A beautiful day. Even the kids enjoyed the hotdogs fresh off the grill along with some farm fresh corn and baked beans.

Did you just love Dolphin Tale? We sure did.  We are so excited about Dolphin Tale 2....what a sweet family movie.  Inspired by true events, Dolphin Tale 2 continues the story of the brave dolphin Winter, whose miraculous rescue and recovery—thanks to a groundbreaking prosthetic tail—made her a symbol of hope and perseverance to people around the world and inspired the 2011 family hit movie “Dolphin Tale.” This film reunites the entire main cast, led by Harry Connick Jr., Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson, and of course, the remarkable dolphin Winter as herself. Champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who has been an example of courage, also appears in the film.  What a fantastic teaching opportunity for children of all ages. 

It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett, rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Winter’s surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, leaving Winter without the only pool mate she has ever known. However, the loss of Panama may have greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to USDA regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins’ social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins.
