1000 Thread Set of 2 Cotton Pillowcases Review #1000ThreadCottonPillowcases

I received a Yorkshire Mayfair 1000 thread count beige pillowcase set which included two pillowcases. The color is a rich tan which reminds me of a luxurious caramel color. The shade is pretty and vibrant.  They are pretty and wash well. I wish I had matching sheets they feel so comfortable. They were so comfortable.

The mercerized cotton woven sateen pillowcases were easy to put on and they felt comfortable to sleep on over the past few nights. They washed well and did not wrinkle up. They look fresh in the morning so it makes fast work for making my bed in the am when I am busy.

My head stays cool at night too. My husband agreed they feel cool and comfortable.  The material is a perfect blend between soft but not too silky...just a nice feel to them.  We are both happy that they are machine washable.

Key information about 1000 COUNT sheets:

  • 100% Cotton
  • Sateen Finish
  • Ultra Soft

Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion with oil of macadamia nut for dryskin #adamia

My skin can get really dry no matter what the season. Even in the spring...I spend a ton of time outdoors working in the garden and that just wrecks my hands.  They get so dry and irritated and it takes days to get them back in decent shape. I recently had the opportunity to try an Australian remedy for dry and distressed skin called Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion. This special lotion has been utilized effectively for years in healthcare facilities in Australia.

I was impressed with the results of the studies they shared with me.  It has offered relief for many elderly nursing home residents by supporting healthier skin.  The company shared that Adamia Lotion has been tested and studied in multiple healthcare facilities and compared with the usual standard of care which is petroleum jelly. The secret of Adamia efficacy is based on the natural healing powers only found in the oil of the macadamia nut.  This natural ingredient mimics the oils found in healthy human skin. It  naturally replenishes essential oils in distressed skin. It moisturizes dry, hurting skin to repair, restore and even renew.

This special oil is combined with a list of other compelling ingredients. The company shared that they completed two separate trials in healthcare facilities with the goal achieved improving the quality of irritated or distressed skin. This therapeutic lotion even showed a significant reduction in skin lesions among long-term care residents. Since it worked so well for these distressed patients I figured it had to work for me and my dry skin.

It feels great on my skin and absorbs quickly. It has almost no scent at all and doesn't feel greasy. My skin actually looks better after a few days of using this lotion. It doesn't have that dried out appearance anymore. That is a relief because I see clients all day and dread the embarrassment of shaking hands if my hands are dry and irritated.

Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion has been dermatologist tested. It is completely free of fragrance and dyes. It is hypo- allergenic and has been deemed safe for sensitive skin. It also has the added benefit that it absorbs quickly and will not stain clothing or linens. It feels good on my skin and definitely has helped my hands and body feel and look better and healthier.

You can pick up this Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion  on Amazon for easy shopping anytime.

Make a fun Planter for summer

It is easy to do. Buy a rattan planter. Choose real or faux greenery or flowers. Fill with soil and plant. Don't forget to water everything. Crowdtap gave me the idea!

All Queens Chess is a great strategy game for kids and grownups #thinkfun

So many kids spend too many hours with electronic games and mobile devices these. It has been a hot topic of discussion the past few years. Many parents are starting to think about other options for kids to better challenge their minds and still be fun. Consider some of the fun strategy games from ThinkFun that are perfect for one or more players.  My tween gets plenty of screen time but enough is enough at some point. We have always enjoyed strategic card games, board games and intellectual games. My hubby and I enjoyed them as kids and we started playing simple board games with our tween when she was a tiny tot.  This is the kind of skill that you can't learn on a electronic device and I challenge you to prove me wrong. I truly credit her early reading to all the board games and learning games we have played since she was a tot.

Thank you to my mom...big time. Gramma was the one who discovered the ThinkFun brand way back when.  She picked up a few of the ThinkFun travel sized games at a local game store and the little one was in love. We discovered one of her best friends was also a ThinkFun fan.  Her best friend has two parents that are educators so take that into consideration. They know quality learning games when they see them. Birthdays and other special occasions suddenly became a good reason to buy a new ThinkFun game. Frankly, it made it easy for me because it was pretty much impossible to bomb with a birthday gift when I chose a ThinkFun game. Many of the ThinkFun games including the All Queens Chess are excellent games to play in the car, while waiting for appointments or even to tote with you on the airplane. A better option than endless screen time.  We have quite a collection of ThinkFun games and haven't been disappointed yet so I was excited to see what All Queens Chess was about.

First of all this one is a 2-player game. It uses all queens...surprise. You have to really use strategy to plan your moves out to try to get four Queens in a row. It uses some of the functions of Chess too. I think that makes it easy to understand....at least the basics. It is a challenge to master this game though. The Queen can move any number of squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally. There is a big difference though...you can't capture any pieces in this All Queens Chess. You must keep your eyes open and use your mind. Think like Spock (RIP) and exercise logic as you navigate the board. You ultimate goal is to get your Queens all in a row.

Basics about the All Queens Chess game:
  • Four in a Row meets Chess
  • Use logic to get your four Queens in a straight line horizontally, vertically or diagonally
  • Queens move like standard Chess but can't be captured
  • A simple strategy game that can get more complex as you master the challenge
  • For 2 players, ages 8 to adult

An easy way to think about this game is to consider it as four-in-a-row chess.

You have to think about each move and carefully choose in order to get four queens in a row.  My tween loves All Queens Chess and it gives all of us a mental challenge as well. All Queens Chess is a great game that is appropriate for two players ages 8 to adult. It is priced about $12.99. This is a super birthday, Christmas or anytime gift.

You can pick up All Queens Chess on their website or on Amazon for easy shopping anytime.
