I really spend a lot of time with my garden beds around the house. I like for the garden to look just right and perfectly manicured. The garden beds around the side of my house were missing something...light! It is totally rechargeable through solar energy harnessed from the sun. It is waterproof and works perfectly as a landscape light. It goes off during the day and automatically turns on at night. The AGPTEK Solar Powered LED Spotlight is bright and powerful. I have not had much experience with solar lights so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was easy to assemble and took about 10 seconds. I was surprised how quickly it worked. I literally put it in the garden bed in the late afternoon. I wasn't sure how bright it would be so I set it to "High."  I set the angle and adjusted it which was also easy. Holy smoke..by the time it got dark the spotlight lit up my garden to the max. The next morning I turned it down to "Low" which gives off just enough light.

This solar light is perfect for illuminating driveways, pathways,sidewalks, and landscaping in your property. It is ideal for a garden bed as well....that is where I put mine. It is much brighter than the standard solar powered spot light. This powerful, adjustable LED light puts out a full 80 lumens of output and a 180-degree beam of light. The LED light has a small rectangular solar panel on top of the spotlight fixture that harnesses the energy of the sun. This charges the batteries to power the light for up to eight hours on a full charge. It has been working really well in my garden bed...the other night I was up until 2:00am and it was still on.

I love that there is no wiring, no batteries to replace and no need to recharge. This spotlight is constructed of solid hard plastic. The company recommends you bring it in or shelter it from serious and persistent snow or ice but this solar light was crafted to withstand years of rain, snow, ice and wind. As I said, the installation is a snap. All you do is simply take out of the box and stick into the ground. The sun does the work to charge it right up. I received an amazing bundle of products to try out from Xlear. I am a stickler when it comes to dental care. Hutterite Diaries: Wisdom from My Prairie Community by Linda Maendel

I can't imagine living the life of a Hutterite woman but the book was fascinating. It is so different from my life so it was very interesting to learn more about them. Could you even consider the option to share all your possessions and live in Christian community? The author, Linda Maendel shares a fascinating look into her life and routines as a Hutterian. The book Hutterite Diaries shares Linda's stories of the day to day life as part of the Hutterian Brethren. She shares her stories of working together to bring in the fall potato harvest to the communal dinners each day. She lives in a Bruderhof, or colony, nestled on the prairie of western Canada. Hutterite children and adults work, play, eat, and worship together, crafting a community of goods and living out an alternative to the individualism and consumerism of mainstream society. It certainly is different than the day to day life I lead running around as a busy executive and squeezing in family, fitness, healthy cooking, and no time for me.

I enjoyed learning about the Hutterites, a Plain Christian group related to the Amish and Mennonites.  It is interesting to see the differences and similarities between the Amish and the Mennonites. Linda's story was fascinating and a fast read. She writes in plain English and the book is easy to follow.
