I have been buying Lightlife foods for a bunch of years now but I didn't realize that the company went back to the late 1970's. The founders of the company had a desire to create yummy vegetarian food which, back then was not so easy to find. Think about it. Even in the 90's I had to go to the local health food store to find Lightlife products. Well now the company has really grown and products are available in all kinds of stores like my local ShopRite and Stop & Shop. Lightlife has tons of yummy options that make it easy to eat healthy and keep it vegetarian too. All their products are still made with the same kind of consideration to quality and care that made them so successful back in the day.
If you have never given Lightlife vegetarian products a try, this a a great time to jump in and try their Smart Dogs. Summer BBQ's are all over the place but think about all the calories and fillers in those standard burgers and beef hotdogs. Subbing in a Lightlife Smart Dog is, well, a little bit smart!
