I received an amazing bundle of products to try out from Xlear. I am a stickler when it comes to dental care. I know many moms who let their kids skip brushing or flossing and that kind of stuff just doesn't happen here. We even all have the professional ultrasonic toothbrushes that we use.  Everything you can do to help your mouth, including your teeth and gums to stay healthy is a good thing. Xlear has created some excellent solutions to dental and sinus health that I was excited to try along with my family. I was interested in learning more about the new concept of using xylitol too.

The secret to the benefits of the Xlear products is in the xylitol. This is one of the more novel ways to improve oral health. Research done in a variety of studies indicates that regular usage of xylitol may reduce tooth decay. Always good for any child or adult! In addition, just adding xylitol to saline nasal sprays, neti pots, and positive pressure bottles has been shown to support against ear infections in children, sinus infections in adults, and asthma and allergies in people of all ages. How does it work? Apparently, xylitol helps the body’s natural cleansing process to clear away allergens,asthmatic triggers and other harmful bacteria. The first product I tried was the Xlear Nasal Spray. I was happy to get it since this spring has been challenging with allergies. I normally don't have allergies but even I, Glamamama, have been plagued with those dreaded sneezing fits. Xlear Nasal Spray is really soothing and helps to clear my nasal passages. I find it reduces my sneezing and eliminates the congestion that goes along with the spring pollen. Xlear has shared that their nasal spray can help to alleviate congestion due to allergies, cold, flu, and even sinusitis. It moisturizes my nasal passages and I find it helps to wash away airborne contaminants and pollutants. Studies have shown that these contaminants and pollutants can lead to many common upper respiratory problems.

I feel comfortable using Xlear Nasal Spray too. It doesn't have any steroids and daily usage of Xlear Nasal Spray is non-addictive and will not damage tissues. That is good for my whole family. Hutterite Diaries: Wisdom from My Prairie Community by Linda Maendel

I can't imagine living the life of a Hutterite woman but the book was fascinating. It is so different from my life so it was very interesting to learn more about them. Could you even consider the option to share all your possessions and live in Christian community? The author, Linda Maendel shares a fascinating look into her life and routines as a Hutterian. The book Hutterite Diaries shares Linda's stories of the day to day life as part of the Hutterian Brethren. She shares her stories of working together to bring in the fall potato harvest to the communal dinners each day. She lives in a Bruderhof, or colony, nestled on the prairie of western Canada. Hutterite children and adults work, play, eat, and worship together, crafting a community of goods and living out an alternative to the individualism and consumerism of mainstream society. It certainly is different than the day to day life I lead running around as a busy executive and squeezing in family, fitness, healthy cooking, and no time for me.

I enjoyed learning about the Hutterites, a Plain Christian group related to the Amish and Mennonites.  It is interesting to see the differences and similarities between the Amish and the Mennonites. Linda's story was fascinating and a fast read. She writes in plain English and the book is easy to follow.
