Are you a mom? Do you work from home or perhaps you work in the corporate arena like I do. Whatever you do, you wear 500 hats just like I do. Maybe our hats are styled a bit differently but we have them. Some hats we store in our pockets or blazers because we yank them out and jam them on all the time. Some are in the back of the closet and we pull them out and struggle to get them on and make them look halfway decent. Some of those darn hats just slip right on and well, others feel like they are constricting our head like a snake. But we just have to wear them sometimes.
Whatever which way those hats fit, we must learn to wear our different hats with grace and beauty. Yes, grace and beauty. Some hats the Good Lord has placed in our hat closet and other ones we assigned to ourselves because we thought they just looked great on us. Those choices we made!! Who was thinking at the time?

By now you realize the hats are a stand-in for the roles we must play in life. We sometimes have to devise creative ways to fulfill roles in our lives. Joyce Ellis has done an unbelievable job of sharing her tales about hats that totally translates into real life. I guarantee you will laugh, chuckle and say, "Yes, yes, me too!" This book had me in stitches! It made me feel better about some of my roles that get me frustrated from time to time too. The key here is acceptance. G-d only gives us what he knows we can manage.
The author shares her warm words and spiritual beliefs along with some humorous insights into the life of women. I love the illustrations, they are so on target! She has a keen understanding of Biblical knowledge which adds a lovely spiritual element to the book. She makes it easy to see why some days can be a real chore as you juggle too many hats. She shares insights on how you can limit some "hat choices" and make your life a little bit easier too. The book was a real blessing and I really enjoyed it.
