I recently heard about a new kind of apple that doesn't brown and I was super excited. Opal apples make the perfect lunchbox option for picky kids like mine who won't eat a whole apple but won't eat pieces of Apple that are brown. I used to douse them in lemon, cinnamon and sugar for a disguise but I can be free of that job with Opals.
- Opal® Apples arrived in the U.S. in 2010 and are grown exclusively in Washington at Broetje Orchards
- Known as the apple with a purpose, a portion of Opal® Apples’ sales goes to their Youth Make a Difference grants, which support youth-led non-profits involving food, nutrition and agriculture
- While Opals® are amazing in any kind of recipe, they are most yummy raw but you see what you think
